‘Out of Order!’

Latics assistant manager Tommy Wright has lambasted the club’s owners for comments made earlier in the week about the form of the current team and management. The loveable 2nd in command took care of Saturday’s post-match interview due to ‘illness’ on Shez’s part and Wright spoke his mind.

Key parts of the intevriew were:

‘It has been a trying time for everyone because things have been said which shouldn`t have been said.

‘There has been a lot of negativity around the place and you`ve got to remember we are seventh in the league. The players don`t deserve this criticism.

‘Me and John feel like we are bottom of the league.

‘There has been a negative feeling because a lot of the lads saw it (Mr Corney`s interview) and those things shouldn`t have been said.

‘There`s no need for it, especially before a cup tie and when you are only just off the automatic promotion places.

‘Me and John are positive that if everyone sticks together we`ve got a chance of promotion. It`s very disappointing and way out of order.’

The comments come after Simon Corney publically aired his thoughts on the teams recent performances, providing captain Sean Gregan and striker Lee Hughes with alot of the blame.

Some sources are suggesting that Shez’s future at the club is in turmoil despite the Latics sitting 7th in the table. If Shez was to leave surely promotion would be out the window as another turnover of players would take place like it has done so many years before. I think i’ll play it safe and not have a name printed on the back of my shirt just yet!

Are the players and management a bunch of big girls blouses or was Simon Corney wrong to critisize them? We want your view.
