2nd Round Draw

The 2nd round draw for the FA Cup has been made. Latics will face Morecambe away if they can get past Cheltenham a week on Tuesday.

Many fans had been hoping for a non-league side, as it would of increased the chances of a match on TV, however it was not to be.

Should Latics progress to the 2nd round, they’ll find themselves meeting Sammy Mcilroy’s men for the 2nd time this season. The sides previously met in the paint pot, with Latics eventually going out on penalties. However if we meet again, i’d expect a much stronger side to be named, with the opporutnity of facing a big side in round 3 too good to pass up.
