Oldham increased an unbeaten run to 13-games as Jonathan Forte got amongst the goals again to bag his 11th of the season in the win over Bradford City.

Two first half goals made all the difference for us, even a goal back from our visitors wasn’t enough as we saw out a 2-1 win at Boundary Park with Bradford ending the game with 10-men.

We broke through early on when Joseph Mills crossed to Colchester United loanee Jabo Ibehre who headed down to Forte (7), with the former Southampton man firing into the back of the net to make it one-nil.

Shortly past the midway point the lead was doubled when Mike Jones (24) finished into the corner beyond Jordan Pickwick to give us some breathing space.

Pickford produced saves to deny Forte and Liam Kelly as we threatened to runaway with the game before a goal in first half injury-time brought Bradford back into the game as Andy Halliday (45) who volleyed home.

Forte and Danny Philliskirk had second half chances to secure the points, with shouts for penalties turned away with Paul Rachubka needing to keep out an Alan Sheehan effort to make sure it stayed two-one.

Bradford were reduced to 10-men in injury-time when Rory McArdle picked up his second yellow card of the afternoon.
