In yesterday’s first round draw for the FA Cup, Oldham learned that they would host Leyton Orient in the opening set of fixtures this season.

We have already faced Orient once so far this campaign and they ran out three one winners.

The game is set to take place on the weekend of November 8 but full details will be announced in due course.

Speaking to the Official Site to give his reaction to the draw, manager Lee Johnson explained.

‘It’s a good home draw and it will be a difficult game. Both teams would probably rather have had somebody from non league but we do love the cup at the club. Orient beat us earlier in the season and are the only team to win here so we have got to get our vengeance in the nicest possible way.’

With Oldham’s recent history in the domestic cup, knocked out by Liverpool at the third round stage, Johnson will no doubt be hoping to reach that stage again and this time either have an easier tie for progression or another fantastic draw.
