John Sheridan spoke to the official site this afternoon in his usual Thursday morning press conference ahead of the Blackpool game.

He had various things to say regarding current results and team spirits, plus what he thought of the Forest game and what he thinks about this weekend’s game at Blackpool.

Sheridan On Current Results

‘I’ve been positive with the lads since day one – I’ve kept telling them that if they carried on the way they were playing then the results would come – and that’s proved to be the case.’

‘Overall, we’ve been defending well as a team – barring the games at Rotherham and Bournemouth – we’ve been solid as a unit, and haven’t let many goals in.’

‘The problem was at the other end, and we’re now starting to score goals, which will give the attacking players confidence.’

Sheridan On Forest Victory

‘We played very well on Tuesday, especially in the first half which won us the game. We defended well, and could have even snatched a couple more goals towards the end.’

Sheridan On Team Spirit

‘The mood’s always been good from day one – we’ve got a good dressing room and that’s very important. The lads have a laugh and a joke at the right time and work hard when they have to. Two wins from the last two games can only give us confidence, which is good for the team.’

Sheridan On Blackpool

‘We need to take what we’ve done in the last two games into Saturday’s game – Blackpool certainly isn’t going to be easy. I’m going to hammer into into the lads that if we play like we have in the last two games we can win the game.’

‘I’m going into the game in a positive frame of mind – we can definitely win – and I would never go into a game looking for a draw.’

You’d expect a John Sheridan team to have a good team spirit. And the current results appear to reflect that.
