The 2014/15 league 1 season moved into the second weekend with Oldham in action again, at home on this occasion.

Oldham let a lead slip as the suffered a 3-1 defeat at Boundary Park against Leyton Orient on Saturday afternoon.

Carl Winchester gave Jonathan Forte (16) a chance early in the game with the former Southampton man continuing his fine start to life with the Latics by scoring a third goal in only his second appearance.

The lead didn’t last long though as Darius Henderson (20) followed suit, getting onto the end of Dean Cox’s pass to bring Leyton Orient level, but still Oldham had chances to go into half time ahead.

Mike Jones shot wide and Liam Kelly couldn’t hit the target with a header as chances were missed with the half ending one-all.

Those missed chances came at a price for us when Henderson turned provider to set up David Mooney (58) to fire the visitors into the lead.

An equaliser almost came through James Wilson, but he headed over with Kevin Lisbie (80) securing Orient’s three-one win when he headed home within moments of coming on for Henderson
