Paul Dickov should have his side fired up for this one, he wants to see a reaction from the team after they were dumped out of the FA Cup by Accrington Stanley last week.

Huddersfield however will be looking to take all three points allowing them to make sure they stay in the second automatic promotion spot.

Vital Quotes:

Lee Clark
“We are looking forward to the game and, once again, to having fantastic support. The support we are getting is magnificent and it will be the same at Oldham as we approach what is a tough test.

“Paul Dickov has gone in there and done a good job. He has changed the team around and the way they play, they`ve had some positive results and they have been there or thereabouts all season.’

Oldham Team News:

Oldham boss Paul Dickov could be without striker Warren Feeney for the home clash with derby rivals Huddersfield.

The Northern Ireland international, who scored his first goal for the club in last weekend’s FA Cup defeat to Accrington, jarred and twisted his back in training and the Latics are waiting to hear the extent of the damage.

The player is rated as a major doubt, and Dickov said: ‘It is disappointing because Monday and Tuesday was the best Warren had trained since he arrived at the club.

‘He scored last Saturday, got the monkey off his back and looked sharp and bright.”

Striker Dean Kelly, who has missed the last two games with a groin strain, is fit again, and Dickov has no other major concerns.

Huddersfield Team News:

Huddersfield will be boosted by the return of winger Anthony Pilkington, striker Alan Lee and goalkeeper Alex Smithies.

League One player of the month Pilkington sat out the 5-2 Johnstone’s Paint Trophy win at Rotherham in midweek due to a tight hamstring.

Lee is back in contention following a three-game ban, while Smithies has missed the last eight games due to a thigh injury, and manager Lee Clark must decide whether to include him in the starting line-up in place of Ian Bennett or on the bench.

Gary Roberts is also pushing for a return to the starting line-up following a broken arm. The winger was sidelined for nine matches, but stepped off the bench on Tuesday night.

Defenders Gary Naysmith (foot) and Tom Clarke (knee) and striker Lee Novak (hamstring) are still out.
