Oldham’s unbeaten run continues but we did have to be content with a point at Chesterfield on Saturday afternoon.

Tommy Lee was the man to mainly frustrate us with the Chesterfield ‘keeper thwarting us in a 1-1 draw at the ProAct Stadium.

Both sides had early chances, Lee twice saving to deny Carl Winchester and then Jonathan Forte with Chesterfield going close between those effort as Ian Evatt headed wide.

Lee, and our ‘keeper Paul Rachubka traded saves as Lee kept out a Dominic Poleon effort with Rachubka parrying away an effort from Jimmy Ryan.

We finally had the chance to open the scoring when Georg Margreitter brought down Daniel Philliskirk in the penalty area with us awarded a penalty. Forte (49) made no mistake as he finally managed to beat Lee.

Chesterfield were level by the hour though when Sam Clucas (57) volleyed past Rachubka to make it one-one.

Lee Johnson called for Colchester United loanee striker Jabo Ibehre, and he was denied again by the ‘keeper who would frustrate us once again in injury-time to deny Forte another goal and us a win.
