Oldham’s unbeaten run came to an end as league leaders Bristol City extended their own run with victory over us on Saturday afternoon.

Bristol City extended their league at the top of the league 1 table by narrowly beating us 1-0 at Ashton Gate.

Jabo Ibehre went close to putting us into the lead but his effort went just wide.

It might have been meant as a cross but this ended up coming back off the bar from Joe Bryan with Aden Flint threatening with two headers as the real chances went Bristol City’s way.

Kieran Agard should have scored with an effort, which came after Paul Rachubka had made a good save to keep him out.

The breakthrough eventually came just ahead of the hour when Wade Elliott and Aaron Wilbraham combined, the latter crossing to Agard (57) who made no mistake.

He tried his luck with a 50-yard chip, which went close, as he looked to secure the points but as much as we remained in the game we couldn’t find an equaliser as our unbeaten run ended.
