Another Cap for Eardley

Latics youngster Neal Eardley last night picked up another cap for Wales. The Latics full back came off the bench as Wales secured an impressive 1-0 win over Denmark.

Latics had hoped that Eards could play in the cup game against Cheltenham but their application for clearance was denied by John Toshack, who wanted a closer look at the Boundary Park youth system product.

It is likely that in his whole 3 minutes on the pitch, Eardley did enough to cement his place in the squad!

Hopefully he got a better look at him on the training pitch.
