Summer signing Chris O’Grady has returned to Boundary Park following his loan spell with Bury. The striker joined from League 2 Rotherham, who were in administration at the time, but has found chances at Boundary Park few and far between.
Despite not scoring in his loan spell, Bury enquired into the possibility of keeping him for longer; this was rejected by Latics given the striker shortage.
He will now challenge with Lee Hughes, Lewis Alessandra, Darren Byfield and Matty Wolfenden for a place in Shez’s side on Saturday.
