Adeyemi Explains

Latics’ on-loan midfielder Tom Adeyemi asked fans not to be too hard on the Oldham players after last Saturday as the result was down to too many players having an off day.

Reuben Reid was tireless and Alex Cisak couldn`t be blamed for either goal, but that apart, it was a day to forget for the other players involved.

But what made the defeat a bitter pill to swallow was the fact that Latics went into the game on two good victories.

‘I just think we never got going,’ Adeyemi told the Oldham Advertiser after the game.

‘I don`t think anyone could say we weren`t mentally right because we all go into the game trying to do our best.

‘It was one of those days where we need to look at how we conceded the goals and how we didn`t score.

‘We just need to go into this weekend`s game and get back to how we were before.

‘I think we have to put it into perspective though; we`ve lost one in five and most teams in this league would take that.’
