Chris Taylor came up with the only goal of the game that saw Oldham beat Bournemouth at Boundary Park on Saturday.

The win was a deserved one for the home side who had a number of chances in the game and managed to hit the woodwork twice.

Shefki Kuqi had a chance to put the Latics in front early on in the game, but his effort was just of target while at the other end Alex Cisak was tested by Scott Malone.

There were chances for both sides but the closest anyone came to an opening goal was when Kuqi headed a cross from Taylor against the post.

Cisek was called into action again when he made a last gasp save from Shaun McDonald.

Kieran Lee went close to grabbing a goal but was unlucky, but he did set up Taylor with a cross from the right and he finished from close range.

Bournemouth had another escape when Youssouff M’changama rattled the crossbar from fully 30 yards.
