Oldham boss Paul Dickov has said that the club have just entered into talks with ex-Manchester United trainee Kieran Lee.
The 22 year old made the first team last season when Latics were suffering with injury problems.
The player signed a one year contract at the start of the season, but now the powers that be want him to commit to the club on a longer basis.
Speaking to the Oldham Chronicle, Dickov said: ‘We are talking to Kieran at the moment regarding a new deal.
‘Kieran has been absolutely fantastic for us. Not many people realise it, but he actually took a pay cut to stay at the club this season.’
