Oldham continued there march up the league, with a hard fought 1-0 win over bottom of the league M.K.Dons.

The Dons will feel a little hard done by with the result, but Luke Becketts’ 43rd minute striker was enough to extend our unbeaten run to 8 league games.

Dons started brightly and Izale McLeod sprinted on to Clive Platt’s through ball but fired into the side netting from a difficult angle inside the first minute.

Oldham keeper Chris Day kept the Dons out with Rizzo, Quinn and Platt all going close in the first half an hour.

Oldham to there credit battled hard and were rewarded with Beckett’s 4th of the season as he latched onto a Chris Porter flick, following Day’s punt. Ironic this goal was a route one goal against the Dons.

MK came back well again, Day saved from Platt and McLoed in stoppage time.

The second half again followed suit with the Dons dominating Izale McLoed wasted a golden chance, putting a header wide whilst unmarked from 10 yards. Chris Porter had Oldham’s only real chance in the second half.

All in all another three points and the end to a great Christmas 9 points out of 9. You can not ask for more than that.
