An unbeaten run has been extended to 10-games now as Oldham came from behind to win on Saturday afternoon. Walsall had stunned us by taking an early lead at Boundary Park but we fought back to win in stunning fashion eventually win 2-1.

Walsall silenced the home crowd early on when a routine long ball from Walsall loanee defender Andy Butler allowed Jordan Cook (10) to get in, he ran clear to make it one-nil.

It could have been worse as Cook had further chances, he could have had a hat-trick by the time we levelled! Mike Jones burst into the box, giving Conor Wilkinson (31) the chance to sign off his loan spell with a goal, via the aide of a deflection to beat ‘keeper Richard O’Donnell.

We could have easily had a penalty with Jones appealing that James Baxendale had stopped his cross with his hand with James Wilson close to heading us ahead and Jabo Ibehre denied a debut goal by a fine O’Donnell save just three-minutes after he had come on.

O’Donnell looked as though he would deny us when he also saved from Carl Winchester.

There wasn’t anything he could do to keep out Jones’ (75) first goal for us as his 25-yard rocket hit the bar and went in to earn us a two-one win with 15-minutes to play.
