A short statement on the club’s official website today has informed fans that first team coach Paul Murray has departed the club and taken up the position of Hartlepool United’s first team manager.
The statement reads.
‘Oldham Athletic have been made aware that first team coach Paul Murray has joined Hartlepool United as their first team manager.’
Been ‘made aware?’
The statement continues to say that there are still contractual issues to be resolved over this but the club wanted to place on record their thanks for his services during his time with us and with him all the best for his future career.
Murray rejoined the club as a player back in 2013 before then becoming part of manager Lee Johnson’s backroom staff.
