Ronnie Moore hailed striker Luke Beckett as the inspiration for his side’s comeback to earn a point against Swindon.
The Robins were two goals up at the break at Boundary Park, but Richie Wellens and Andy Liddell netted one a-piece to cap a superb second-half display for the Latics.
Moore said: ‘I told the players at half time they had 15 minutes to turn the game round or I would make changes.
‘We had to do something and ( Beckett did well after he came on. He made it very difficult for their two centre-backs from the off.
‘His presence gave everyone a lift and we dictated the tempo of the game. By the end Swindon were all over the place and hanging on.’
