Former Director Back On Board

Former Oldham director Mike Newton is back at Boundary Park at Boardroom level.

Newton had been the director for a short time but stepped down at the end of the 09/10 season.

Latics chairman Simon Corney told the club’s official website: ‘We’ve been in discussions with Mike for some time and we’re happy to have him back.

‘He took one year out and there was a lot of speculation as to why. There were a few things he wanted to do, but he realised he likes it here and we’re glad to have him back.

‘We hope there will be a lot happening in the next couple of years and, as we only have a small board, all help is gratefully received. There may be one or two other board members coming in as we need to share the workload.’
