Oldham’s season is finally up and running with our first win of the season secured at Doncaster Rovers.

Doncaster hadn’t won at home this season ahead of Oldham’s trip to the Keepmoat on Saturday, even so the home side would have been favourites to win as we hadn’t won full stop.

Nothing changed for Doncaster, as they still haven’t won at home, but it did for us as we won 2-0.

Jonson Clarke-Harris (4) fired us into an early lead as he sent a freekick into the back of the net.

We came under some pressure, as you would expect, with Reece Wabara and Kyle Bennett both going close for the home side but we kept that one-nil lead intact.

As the hour approached a Luke McCullough foul on Danny Philliskirk handed us a penalty and a chance to extend the lead. Jonathan Forte (59) made no mistake as he converted to secure as a two-nil win.
