Dickov Swoops For Midfielder

Midfielder James Wesolowski has joined Oldham Athletic on a one year deal after being released by Peterborough United.

The 23-year-old Australian under 20 star, goes straight into Latics` squad for the Carling Cup tie with Carlisle at Boundary Park on Tuesday.

Dickov knows the player well, they were in the same team at Leicester City, and he was absolutely delighted to have got his man.

He said: ‘What I like about James is that he is a winner as well as being a very good footballer, and I am delighted to have signed him.

‘He may only be 23, but he has a lot of experience and last season was a regular in Peterborough’s promotion-winning campaign.

‘James is a quality player and he leads by example both on and off the pitch. We believe he will be another good addition to this squad.’
