Oldham sign Worthington

Oldham have signed ex Huddersfield Town captain Jonathan Worthington on a two year deal, with thoughts of him being the new captain here at Boundary Park.

It would seem that the boss is looking for players with leadership qualities and believes that the 26 year old has what it takes to fill Gregans’ shoes.

He is well known for his hard tackling and aggression which made him very popular with the fans. We shall see how he fairs in blue, I think we are definitely heading in the right direction now and look forward to seeing who the manager brings in next, as he has mentioned there could be another 8 players on their way to Boundary Park in the coming weeks.
