Oldham missed out on a trip to Wembley or the JPT Final after failing to beat Chesterfield at Boundary Park last night.

A goal down from the first leg, Latics were looking to win the game, but a late goal from Jack Lester meant Oldham miss out despite dominating the game.

Latics wasted a string of chances that could have won them the game, as early as the third minute Kuqi smashed a shot against the post.

Filipe Morais and Chris Taylor both saw good chances saved by Spireites keeper Tommy Lee as the home side kept up the pressure.

After surviving a scare early in the second half when Cisak saved from Drew Talbot, Latics continued to turn the screw but were guilty of wasting chances and coming up against a goalkeeper in fine form

But the home side had to finally admit defeat when Lester bundled the ball home on 88 minutes.
