David Noble’s extended trial period with Oldham this summer, as it draws to an end, has seen him earn himself a deal at Boundary Park.

Initially the 32-year-old has signed on ‘non-contract’ terms.

A former teammate of boss Lee Johnson at Bristol City, the Cheltenham Town loanee for the whole of last season was released by parent club Rotherham United in the summer making him a free agent and spent most of pre-season training with us.

Noble has been handed shirt no.19 and should be in the squad for the home game with Leyton Orient tomorrow, he could even make his debut as he looks to earn himself a permanent deal with the Latics.
