Oldham Athletic`s pitch may be under four inches of snow and frozen underneath but the club has promised that they will do everything in their power to make sure Saturday`s game goes ahead.

Groundstaff are working very hard to remove snow and ice from all public access areas around and inside the ground.

The weather is said to be hitting thaw mode on Thursday and chief executive Alan Hardy said: ‘We are doing everything we can to stage the game, and it will not be for the want of trying.’
