Oldham have offered professional contract to a trio of youngsters after they impressed sufficiently enough to be given this chance.

Second year scholars Joel Coleman, Jordan Bove and Jack Truelove have been offered these professional deals with Lee Johnson hoping these can be tied up within the next 10-days as he sees them having a ‘bright future’ at Boundary Park.

Johnson told the official website: ‘We’re delighted to offer the three boys professional contracts which we will be discussing with them over the next seven to ten days.

‘The second years have been fantastic year, resulting in them being near the top of the youth division this year and we hope that the three boys have got a bright future at our club.’

Bove has been banging in the goals at youth level this season, scoring over 20-goals, with Coleman also a regular at both youth and reserve levels.

Unfortunately not all players can have a future with a club though with John Pritchard, Will Kinder, Tom Clarke, Mike Brewster and Haydn Foulds all being informed that they aren’t getting professional deals.

The Oldham boss feels they can earn deals, and have a future, elsewhere but it isn’t meant to be for them at Boundary Park.
