Midfielder James Wesolowski has admitted he felt devastated that we didn’t win the game against Tranmere last weekend.

Speaking to the Official Site following the game the Australian explained that although there were certainly plenty of positives to take from the game, such as the improved showing of the team performance wise, he did wish we could’ve at least held on to the lead for longer in the match because overall he felt we were worthy of all three points.

‘It’s not a bad point but we’re devastated not to get three. I think that’s the best we’ve played in a couple of weeks now. With Korey coming back into the team and Philliskirk in the hole, it helped us play nicer football. I’m just disappointed we didn’t get the three points in the end because I thought we deserved it.’

Weso goes on to say that obviously he’s delighted for himself to have grabbed his fourth goal of the season, because he has set himself a target of five for this campaign so if he can break that he’ll be more than happy but he feels everyone in the team put in a real shift last weekend, so everyone is now hoping we can build on this and play well again but next time round pick up a maximum return.

Two tough games against promotion chasing sides up next for Oldham, but Wesolowski says that they already have a target of four points from the available six and he thinks that’s definitely achievable with the home crowd behind us.
