Tranmere Keeper Frustrates Latics

On paper it didn`t look like the most thrilling game of the season and on the pitch it lived up to that as Latics drew 0-0 with Tranmere.

Oldham had the best of things and it was Rovers goalkeeper Tony Warner who did more than his fair share to give them a point to return to Prenton Park with.

Warner stopped Latics from going in front several times which frustrated the Oldham boss, team and fans alike.

Filipe Morais fired over the crossbar from 20 yards out early in the game, and then Jason Lowe had the keeper flying across his goal to stop an effort from the Blackburn loan player.

Dean Furman was the next Latics player to go close, but his shot was just wide of the mark, Chris Taylor also should have done better soon after.

Taylor then had the chance to net at the far post but somehow Warner managed to keep that one out.

Morais went close again in the second half and then once again Warner came to his side`s rescue when he stopped Oumare Tounkara from finding the net from twelve yards.
