Tranmere manager Les Parry left Boundary Park a very relieved man after watching his side get a 0-0 draw against Oldham on Monday night.

And he had his goalkeeper Tony Warner to thank for the hard earned point as he put in a great display of goalkeeping to keep the Latics from scoring.

The point puts Tranmere three points clear of the relegation zone.

‘Our performance was not great and I’m sure Oldham will be gutted that they didn’t win,” said Parry to the Press Association.

‘They made a few good chances and our keeper made a few good saves but I’m delighted because it’s about time we played poorly and came away with something.
