An interview with Swansea City fan Kev (editor of Vital Swanses) ahead of this Saturdays game.

What do you think of Swansea’s start so far?

I was expecting it to be honest. I never thought we’d hit the ground running like we did last year and hopefully this’ll mean we won’t run out of steam after the new year like we did last season.

The new signings will take a few games to settle in and gel with the rest of the squad and hopefully we can hit form at the right time so that we’re consistent for the entire season.

Last year we started brilliantly but faded badly after Christmas, and this meant we were competing in the play-offs rather than going up automatically.

After the first two games, where do you think you

Definately the defence. It’s an utter shambles at the moment. You are yet to score yet but I’m sure you’ll get your first goal against us on Saturday.

There seems to be no organisation, no communication between the back four and keeper and with Monk out and the fact we have a poor left back, we need to sign 1 or 2 defenders I think.

Do you think you will miss Tate, Robinson and Monk

I haven’t rated Monk for the last year and the only reason we’ll probably miss him is because of our lack of replacements we have.

Tate and Robinson are key players for us. Tate was last season’s player of the year and we need all the defenders we can get! Robinson scored 18 from midfield last season so you can see the benefit he brings to the side. However, stats suggest we win more games when he’s absent, and that’s probbaly because he upsets the balance of the midfield.

Who would you say your best player is at the momen

That’s a tough one really seeing as we’ve only played twice and we’re not exactly playing well. I think Pratley in midfield (who will be captain tomorrow) has impressed me the most although no one at all has stood out yet.

Score Prediction

Well we’ve lost 1, drawn 1 so I think it’s about time we won 1! I think we’ll edge it 2-1.

With thanks to Kev, editor of Vital Swansea.
