With the latest league 1 game drawing ever closer the team news, ahead of Oldham’s away fixture, is starting to filter through.

Oldham’s unbeaten run of late could be seriously threatened on Saturday afternoon at Peterborough United’s London Road.

Peterborough can call on Michael Bostwick (calf strain) again but a knee injury for Jon Taylor needs a late fitness test. Kgosi Ntlhe (hamstring) is now sidelined having recovered from a previous groin injury.

George Elokobi (thigh) will be missing for us, which is a big blow and doubly so as club captain Adam Lockwood (foot) is still missing.

Having come off the bench last weekend to score twice in the three-two win Danny Philliskirk could have earned a start.

Ahead of the game Lee Johnson told BBC Radio Manchester: ‘I’m pleased with the start. It is still a new group and we will get better.

‘What’s nice is our bench is really strong at the moment.

‘I still think there is a couple of gears in us and this will be a marker, as Peterborough are a really good side.’
