It’s cup action for Oldham on Tuesday as the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy gets underway for another season.

Oldham take on league 1 rivals Bradford City in the first round of the JPT at Boundary Park on Tuesday night.

Lee Johnson has revealed that he would like to keep the same starting XI that secured our first win of the season, a two-nil win at Doncaster Rovers on Saturday, but concedes that he might have to make changes due to some having knocks.

Three or four could miss out but George Elokobi (head wound) says he is fully fit. Genseric Kusunga is on international duty with Angola though.

We’ll be without Jonson Clarke-Harris though who was sold to Rotherham United on transfer deadline day, it is unclear at this stage if Michael Tidser, signed on loan as part of that deal, and Dominic Poleon, signed from Leeds United, are able to feature though?

Bradford could give Aaron Mclean (calf) a start after an injury impacted injury so far with Ben Williams, fresh from a newly signed deal, could be restored in goal. Billy Clarke (hamstring) could be rested as he recovers from an injury problem but Andrew Davies (broken arm) is out.
