The Johnstone’s Paint offers a midweek break from the league calendar for Oldham as we look to move a step closer to a possible Wembley final with a home game tonight.

Oldham entertain Barnsley at Boundary Park tonight in this JPT second round tie.

Defensively Lee Johnson has some problems as Genseric Kusunga (international duty) will miss out having gone off to link up with Angola. Club captain Adam Lockwood (foot) and George Elokobi (thigh) leave him very light.

The suggestion is that Timothee Dieng will partner James Wilson in central defence.

Rotherham loanee Michael Tidser is expected to be given a run out with Johnson contemplating a little rotation but we’ve also got an unbeaten run to preserve and we’ll want to do that tonight.

Barnsley could give Fulham loanee Ryan Williams his debut having left him on the bench on Saturday for the win over Rochdale. Danny Wilson has positive news on the injury front, as he doesn’t have any new ones, the likes of Jean Yves M’voto, Kane Hemmings and Joe Dudgeon will be hoping for recalls.
