Oldham’s favourite winger Chris Taylor claims that reaching the play-offs is achievable.

Taylor scored against Gillingham in Oldham’s 2-1 win and had this to say ‘ The gaffer has come out and said we need 11 wins to reach the play-offs, and I don’t think it’s impossible. There is a long way to go yet so we’ll take it game by game and wait and see.’

Taylor went on to praise young forward Lewis Alessandra and Welsh international Craig Davies who seems to be hitting form just at the right time after a poor spell. He also stated that Oldham’s home form would be key if latics want to mount a play-off challenge.

With what seems to be growing confidence surrounding Boundary Park after 2 home wins in a row and a good performance against Swansea away it looks like the squad truly believe that we can reach the play-offs and after the lacklustre start to the season it would certainly be some achievement.

However in order to maintain a high performance rate we must secure one or two new faces on loan to sure up the squad as well as some backing for Crossley due to Pogs’ injury.
