Dagenham manager John Still watched his side go down 1-0 at home to Oldham but he was still pleased with the performance they put in.

There was only one goal in it and that was scored by on loan defender Aidy White who was making his debut for the Latics.

Still said: ‘I think we’ve played against a good side and I think we’ve played very well. I’m absolutely delighted with our performance. In the last few games we’ve been scoring goals, so we’ve shown we can score, but they were very resolute.

‘On another day I think a goal or two might have gone in for us, but performance-wise I’m absolutely delighted.

‘They’re a strong side and as good a side, strength-wise, as we’ve played. We knew it would be a difficult game, but what we have to look at, more than anything else, is to make sure of the consistencies in our performance.

‘I actually feel we’re getting to that stage now. Of course we need to do better, but I’ve got to be honest and I was pleased with how we played. I’ve got no complaints whatsoever.’
