Oldham Athletic have confirmed the permanent signing of Leeds United youngster Dominic Poleon.

Moving quickly on from the last two deals, this one was got over the line in time as well so it looks like manager Lee Johnson got the JCH money in time to do something with it unless he had spare budget anyway.

The 20 year old joins us for an undisclosed fee having made 29 appearances for Leeds in his two years with them, scoring three times.

He has also taken in league experience during loan spells with Bury and Sheffield United.

The manager said of the deal nigh on at the death of the window.

‘Poleon is a young talent who is quite unproven but he’s got a good reputation in football with the manager’s he’s worked with. We believe he needs to be coached and educated but we know he has the raw potential to be a big asset to this club and that’s why the chairman has gone the extra mile to sign him.’
