Oldham have secured the youth loan signing of QPR striker Mike Petrasso.

Apparently he was meant to move to Notts County on loan but that deal fell through and Oldham scooped in to secure the Canadian’s service’s.

The winger is highly rated by those at Queen’s Park Rangers and he’s already a Canadian U20 international and the London club moved for the 18 year old last season signing him from Toronto FC’s Academy.

So far this season in their U21 squad he has made nine appearances and scored six goals.

Last month he was also invited to train with the full Canadian international team such is the potential they see in him.

His loan spell will expire after our game against Colchester on December 21st.

If he receives his Football League and Football Association clearance in time, he will most likely be in the squad for the Gillingham match.
