Oldham have completed the season long loan signing of Hull City’s goalkeeper Mark Oxley.

The 22 year old has been at the club for five years, and has recently signed a new two year deal and they are hoping he can get some good match experience during his spell with us.

Speaking to the Official Site Lee Johnson said of the goalkeeper.

‘We have had Mark watched and believe he is ready to play. It’s important for a keeper to be a number 1 and be a massive part of the club. He has to be a spiritual leader and, having done a lot of due diligence on him, we are hopeful he will push on with us.’

Johnson also admitted he was hoping that he could announce the loan signing of a promising young defender from a higher division club in the coming weeks.
