Lee Johnson has looked overseas for players previously and he will have no problems doing that again this summer if needed.

Genseric Kusunga, from Switzerland, and Matteo Lanzoni, Italian, came to Boundary Park last summer and the Oldham boss has revealed that he already has ‘three or four’ players that he is casting his eye over.

He feel’s that the European market is ‘a good market’ with him hoping to again pick up another gem as he had the previous paid last summer.

Johnson told the Oldham Chronicle. ‘We might be able to pick up someone like Genseric Kusunga and get very good value.

‘We picked up Matteo Lanzoni as well last year and he was another really good signing.

‘I’m certainly not frightened to go outside the box and maybe pick up someone from abroad.’

Whomever, and wherever, they come from you’d have to back Johnson to bring in the right players for Oldham wouldn’t you as the club look to build on an impressive end to the last season to make the next one a much more successful one.
