Oldham could make a move to bring Lee Croft back to Boundary Park.

The 26-year-old, who may well have played with manager Paul Dickov at Man City, is ‘surplus to requirements’ at Derby and this has seen The Oldham Evening Chronicle link The Latics to him, with him spending a loan spell with the club back in the 2004/05 season.

St Johnstone had him on loan last season and might look to make the move permanent but if Derby allow him to leave on loan then this could be the opportunity that Oldham need to bring him back?

A money signing is unlikely even if The Rams would only ask a minimal fee for the midfielder with a year left on his contract.

Would you like to see Croft back in an Oldham shirt, and could this happen?
