Joining us today is Derek Stacey who is a proud season ticket holder in the lookers upper.

Q.What were the positives of the Orient game?

-‘It was a good all round performance by a team that had players out of position (Eardley mid) that never looked like conceding a goal.’

-‘Strong performances from all the youngsters including a number of new faces.’

Q. What were your views on the manager’s decisions? Were they well timed?

‘No decisions to be made, the team set off and kept to the script…Shez only changes his team to suit injuries.’

Q. Who was your Man of the Match?

‘Chris Taylor ran the full length of the pitch time and time again, he could have bagged a few more for himself as well as setting up Smalley and Wolfenden on a number of occasions.’

Q. With summer just around the corner, Who should Shez say goodbye to?

‘That is a difficult question because Shez may have a hard time luring players to Boundary Park (wages?)…We haven’t seen enough of John Thompson, I’m not sure if Hughesy and Davies will work out, I personally like JP Kalala but is there a place for him?’

Q.And who should he bring in?

‘That leaves us with a problem up front and as you know everyone is always looking for strikers, with Oldham’s limited budget will we be able to bring in someone who will be prolific enough to make the difference?’

Q. Where will Oldham be at the end of the next season? Can we gain promotion?

This season the league has been quite poor and we have not been able to make the impact that we should have. If the league is at the same level next year we should be in contention for promotion however to really make a mark we need a team to play together consistently and with the current team I am not sure we have the correct mix of experience and youthful exhuburance.
