Having been with Oldham on non-contract terms last season Dean Bouzanis has been awarded a 12-month contract by Paul Dickov.

The 21-year-old keeper arrived at Boundary Park in November, with him waiting patiently until the final eight games of the season to get his chance, which when he did he played in all of those games.

Dickov, as he told the official website, believes he is a good keeper and has earned this contract: ‘Dean had to wait patiently for his chance but when it came, he seized it.

‘When Dean came in, it was on non-contract terms and he was not paid initially.

‘He came in and did well as we knew he would, as he is a talented boy and a naturally gifted goalkeeper.’

Do you think that Bouzanis will start next season as the no.1 or will he play second fiddle to Alex Cisak?
