Full back Joseph Mills has said he believes that Oldham were more than good value for the point against Sheffield United.

The 25 year old has been in good form, picking up the October Player of the Month award, and speaking to the Official Site he explained that he thought on the balance of the game a point was the fair result.

‘I think we deserved a point there especially from the first half performance. We were in control but we knew they would come out in the second half and press us and try and either draw or win. We were unfortunate to concede but on the grand scale of things, it’s a good point.’

Mills went on to say that the match really opened up in the second half, and on a good big pitch at Bramall Lane both sides got stretched as the game drew to a close and obviously had chances to take all three points and whilst he couldn’t begrudge them a point, he feels it would’ve been unfair if they’d have taken all three and he thinks they’ll believe the same had we nicked the match towards the end.

Mills was also asked whether the plan now was to go on another unbeaten run, he had to confirm the obvious – ‘that’s the plan’ – but ultimately we’ll just keep taking it one game at a time and focusing on our performance over 90 minutes rather than getting carried away and then the results will fall where they do – hopefully in our favour.
