David Mellor has now returned to Boundary Park following a successful month away with Alfreton Town.

The 21 year old made the move to the Vanarama Conference side to get some good game time under his belt and during his month with them he earned plenty of plaudits for his displays, scoring one goal in seven starts for the club and manager Lee Johnson has said he believes it was a very productive exercise for the youngster.

‘Dave had a good month playing regular games for Alfreton Town. He now returns to our squad to compete for a first 11 place.’

It remains to be seen if he comes straight back into the match day squad for tonight’s game against Coventry City on home soil.
