Lomax’s Injury Cuts Loan Spell Short

Oldham Athletic defender Kelvin Lomax has returned to Boundary Park earlier than planned after picking up an injury while with Chesterfield.

Lomax suffered an ankle injury in the game against Oxford United last week which they lost.

Physio Jamie Hewitt said: ‘It’s a nasty injury – there is extensive ligament damage.

‘He went for an X-ray at the hospital and was due to have an MRI scan this week to determine the extent of the damage.’

After treatment, the full back may be able to go back.
