Oldham have moved to sign Wade Joyce on loan but unfortunately we have had three players ruled out now with injury.

The 19 year old midfielder has agreed a one month stay at Boundary Park and joins us from Barnsley on a youth loan.

He has been handed the No 23 shirt for his spell at the club and he has been training with us for a few weeks now, as his contract expires at his parent club over Christmas.

No doubt be looking for a permanent deal if things go well.

In other team news though, Christian Montano and Edijs Joksts both now face a lengthy spell on the sidelines, and they have been joined by Kirk Millar who hopefully won’t be out for as long as they will.

Montano has a grade two tear of his lateral knee ligament and will be out for a minimum of 8 weeks.

Joksts is likely to be missing for at least 10 weeks as he has a stress fracture to his back.

Millar has a grade one strain to his calf and a grade one tear of his medial ankle ligaments. His spell out should be between two to three weeks.
