While Oldham’s push for promotion via the play offs is now just a memory of a better part of the season, Brighton are still flying high and looking every inch like champions.

What a good time for Latics to play as a team and put in the sort of performance that had those hopes so high earlier, not to mention the big favour we would be doing Huddersfield.

Vital Quotes:

Reuben Hazell: ‘We have too many winners in our dressing room for the season to just fizzle out.

‘We want to win as many games as we can and if that means going on an unbeaten run this season and taking it into next season, that will help us.

‘Winning games is a habit and you don’t want to become a loser.’

Oldham Athletic Team News:

Oldham boss Paul Dickov has no fresh injury or suspension concerns.

Midfielder Ritchie Jones missed last Saturday’s defeat at Leyton Orient with a hamstring strain picked up against Sheffield Wednesday four days previously.

However, he has returned to training and should be available for the clash with Gus Poyet’s side.

Player to watch: Dale Stephens

Always a danger to whoever Latics are playing and will be looking to add to his goal tally.

Brighton Team News:

Brighton manager Gus Poyet has no fresh injury concerns as his npower League One leaders prepare to visit Oldham.

The Seagulls will still be without Jim McNulty, who has been sidelined with an ankle injury since November.

Jamie Smith has not featured this year as he continues his recovery from a foot injury.

Top scorer Glenn Murray will be buoyed by his nomination for the npower Player of the Year Award. The striker scored his 18th goal of the season in the 2-0 victory over Tranmere.

Fran Sandaza scored in injury-time to give Poyet’s men a 2-1 victory at Prenton Park in September.

You don’t get nominated for the npower Player of the Year Award unless you are good.

Can’t see Oldham doing any better than a draw if I’m honest. So I’ll go for an optimistic 2-2.
