Latics comfortabley beat a surprisingly lacklustre Huddersfiled side 4-1. Before the game started Oldham fans were given the news that only 4 subs could be named for the second time this season and even the happy clappers at Boundary Park were worried about a possible DeJaVu of last time this happened; 3-0 loss (Luton).

Whether it was a tactical masterstroke from Shez or just lack of tracking back from Jason Jarrett it is unknown but his new role in support of the lone striker proved genius as Huddersfield failed to stop the on loan PNE man. In an impressive performance Jarrett bagged himself a brace and should have perhaps walked away with a hat-trick. His first goal came after 7 minutes from close range and was followed on 45 minutes with an inch perfect free kick. The hat-trick should have come from the penalty spot but was blocked by Matt Glennon.

In between Jarrett’s goal, on loan Leeds forward Leon Constantine bagged himself another goal scoring a true strikers goal. After the break Chris Taylor made it 4 and Latics were cruising with 3 points in the bag.

A late goal from Huddersfield failed to dampen the mood at Boundary Park and Latics are now 4 points off the play-offs but we would have to win all are games to be in with a real chance, can we really make it?
