Oldham manager Paul Dickov has been dabbling in the transfer market once again, this time he has brought in Reuben Reid from West Brom on a free transfer.

Reid has agreed a short term contract until the end of the current season, there is also an option to extend the deal beyond that.

The striker goes straight into Paul Dickov’s squad for the game against Carlisle on Saturday.

Reid told the club’s official website: ‘I was at Walsall on Tuesday night and trained with the team on Thursday.

‘I have been impressed with what I have seen so far.

‘We have some good, attacking players and that can only help me as a striker.’
