Paul-Jose M’Poku came off the bench to grab all the points for Leyton Orient late on to boost their assault on the play off places and leave Oldham wondering what they have to do to get goals.

The Belgium Under-19 international showed that he could be a good prospect for his parent club Tottenham when he picked up a pass from Dean Cox, controlled and then let fly an unstoppable shot on goal from 25 yards to leave Oldham shell shocked.

Fine defending and even finer goalkeeping kept Orient at bay for most of this game as the home side dominated. Had it not been for the heroics of Ben Amos in the Latics goal they could have been four down before they got the home side got the all important strike.

He made fine saves from Tehoue (twice) and also kept out Cox and Spring, all who had good efforts on goal.

Latics huffed and puffed but did little to worry the Orient back line.

Oldham have now not won in nine games and have taken just three points in that time.
